Wheelchair Challenge Cup final set for Huddersfield

Wheelchair Challenge Cup final set for Huddersfield

The game will take place on August 12 and entry is free of charge

Leeds Rhinos and Halifax RLFC will contest the 2017 Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final at Huddersfield on Saturday, August 12.

The Premier League duo faced off in both major finals last year, with Halifax completing the double, including a 92-48 Cup final win.

But the Rhinos have stepped up in 2017 - they have already secured a Grand Final place and claimed their first-ever win over Halifax in June, winning 57-56 in a dramatic tie.

Leeds were pushed close in beating Medway Dragons 84-66 in the Challenge Cup semi-final, while Halifax romped to victory in Scotland, winning 72-12 at Dundee Dragons in their final four tie.

A host of England stars, who made it all the way to the World Cup final last month, will be going head-to-head at Huddersfield Sports Centre, where kick off is 1pm and entry if free of charge.
