Bradford and Featherstone reach Women's Challenge Cup Final

Bradford and Featherstone reach Women's Challenge Cup Final

It's Bulls v Rovers on July 30...

Holders Thatto Heath-St Helens are out of the Women's Challenge Cup, after falling to a 22-10 away defeat at Bradford Bulls.

The Bulls, who will be playing in their first-ever Challenge Cup Final on July 30, were led by an inspired performance by Savannah Andrade, who scored two tries, with Beth Sutcliffe and Amy Hardcastle both bagging a try each.

Claire Garner kicked three goals to seal the win, meaning Thatto Heath's scores through Faye Gaskin and Emily Rudge, and Tara Stanley's goal, were in vain.

In the other semi-final, Featherstone Rovers welcomed Wigan St Pats to West Yorkshire and ground out a 30-16 win on home turf to seal their place in the final.

Rovers' Kayliegh Bulman and Brogan Churm both scored twice, with England captain Andrea Dobson and Emma Slowe both scoring one each.

Natalie Gilmour celebrated being awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours this week by adding three goals in a hard-fought win for Featherstone.

Wigan battled throughout, Kerry-Ann Smith scoring twice, with Charlotte Foley and Emily Baggaley both scoring once each for St Pats.

Both the Challenge Cup Final and Challenge Shield Final will take place as a double-header on July 30, at a venue to be confirmed shortly.
