Halifax's Jack Brown was in fine form as he helped Halifax WRL crush Medway Dragons WRL in the first round of the Wheelchair Rugby League Challenge Cup.

The game started with Halifax with the ball and an early penalty from the Dragons gave Halifax a score the first try as Brown passed it to Nathan Holmes who dived into the corner and held off Adam Barnett to score a try.

Jack Brown was back involved in the action as he held off Medway's Joe Coyd and he rushed forward his first try of the game and he also converted a kick which put Halifax ten points up with only five minutes played.

Brown them completed his third and fourth tries of the game as he helped drove the Halifax team forward including making a great right sideway pass to Nathan Mulhall who then passed the ball back to Brown as he score his fourth try of the game.

Medway pushed hard to get on the score sheet and some great link play between Joe Coyd and Adam Barnett saw Barnett score into the corner despite being pressured from Gavin Dobson and Jack Brown.

Further Halifax tries from Jack Brown and Nathan Holmes saw Halifax continue to dominate the game and they passed through the fourth point barrier as they continued to dominate the game.

Despite the onslaught from Halifax, Medway did get another try as a lost ball from Coral Batey saw Coyd and Barnett link again for Medway and Barnett dived into the corner to score his second try of the match.

But that try for Medway did not stop Halifax continuing to dominate the game and another great side pass from Brown to Danny Cutts and he drove his chair into the corner to score his first try of the match as Halifax passed through the fifty point barrier.

Further Halifax tries from Scott Pyrah, Robert Hawkins and Coral Batey saw Halifax break through the seventy point barrier against Medway but it was the Dragons who scored the final try of the half as Joe Coyd drove for the try line and held off two Halifax defenders before scoring his first try of the game.

The second half started with Halifax stating the second half as they finished the first half. And with their first play of the half, Jack Brown strobe through the Dragons defence and score his seventh try of the match as Halifax put eighty points of the board.

But Medway were still trying to put points on the board for themselves and after some good link play between Coyd and Barnett, Coyd dive into the left corner of the pitch to score another try for the Dragons.

And Coyd scored a second try on the next play for the Dragons as he worked the Medway team to the Halifax try line and he scored a try just to the right of the posts as he evaded a last gasp tackle from Brown from Halifax as Medway broke the twenty point barrier.

But Halifax raced further ahead and they broke through the hundred point barrier as Gavin Dobson scored his first try for Halifax. This was quickly followed by Scott Pyrah scoring his second try of the game and then Jack Brown scored his ninth and tenth tries of the game as he continued to add his foot print on the game to Halifax.

Despite the score line, the Dragons continued to spiritually play the game well and they scored another try where some more good worth in the middle saw Dragons hang the ball just before the try line and Shauna Pearson pushed the ball forward dived past the try line before getting tackle to score her first try of the game.

Both sides then exchanged tries as the game came to a close. Halifax scored two tries first through Brown as he scored his eleventh try of the game and then some more good work from Brown saw Robert Hawkins score his second try of the game. Meanwhile Medway Dragon's Adam Barnett scored their last try of the game as he worked well through the middle and evaded three Halifax players before scoring a try under the posts.
