Northampton Demons 36 v 22 Telford Raiders

Northampton took the spoils in an entertaining game that was nip and tuck till the last 10 minutes.

First half tries from Luke Jones, Seb Ward and Ben Pointer (2) converted by Josh Dawes gave Northampton a 16-6 lead with the Telford score coming from Jack Harris converted by Ben Lewis.

Telford came back early in the second half with tries from Jamie Derry and Harris’s second with an Ethan Roberts try for Northampton sandwiched in between.

Tom Kenny and Jack Mcarthy traded converted tries to make the score 26-22 with 10 minutes to go but two late scores Adrian Butler and Paul Stewart-Beckett won the game for Northampton.

Northampton’s Ben Pointer picked up the man-of-the-match award for his first half try and smart work out of dummy-half throughout the game.
