Dewsbury to stage Finals

Dewsbury to stage Finals

Four sides set for Tetley's Stadium.

The Women & Girls Management Group are pleased to confirm that this year’s Women’s RL Challenge Cup and Shield Finals will be held at Dewsbury Ram’s Tetley’s Stadium.

The annual double header will be held on Sunday August 3 with 2.00pm and 4.00pm kick-offs starting with Division One high flyers Stanningley who will be looking to add some silver wear to an impressive season to date.

The north Leeds side will play Featherstone Rovers in what promises to be an intriguing clash either way as no side has much history against the other and the form is hard to call.

The Challenge Cup, however, sees two great Premier Division rivals go head-to-head for the second successive final as Bradford Thunderbirds will attempt to finally dethrone current Cup holders and Champions Thatto Heath-St Helens.

“The Women’s Challenge Cup and Shield Finals Day has grown steadily as an event and is now a real highlight in the Community Game calendar,” said James Shuttleworth, RFL Club & Competition Manager.

“This year’s event promises to be another great day and following on from the RFL Associations Cup, is certainly keeping the profile of Women’s Rugby League as high as it has ever been.”
