On Sunday, in the Premier Division Bradford Thunderbirds hosted Thatto Heath St Helens and it was a 28-8 win for the home side.

In a hard fought game Bradford’s win came courtesy of tries from Charlotte Booth, Shona Hoyle, Kirsty Moroney, Danielle Bose, Lauren Hickey and Lois Forsell. Rhiannon Marshall sealed the win with four goals.

In Division One Brighouse Ladies welcomed Leigh Miners and it was a first half surge that sealed a 22-8 win for Leigh Miners.

Brighouse battled throughout and kept the visitors scoreless in the second half whilst scoring two of their own through Beth Greenwood and Amanda Wigglesworth.

Leigh Miners sealed their win with tries for Emily Mullen, Mandy Edge, Claire Thompson and Kell Morris, player of the match Mullen also landed three conversions.

In the Preliminary Round of the Challenge Cup Oulton Raidettes were at home to Selby Warriors, and in a supremely entertaining game it was Oulton who emerged the victors 20-18.

Selby battled throughout as the game went right to the wire, two tries from Yasmin Copeland and one for Jess Dunn as well as three goals from Copeland were score for Selby.

Oulton’s Nicola Atkins impressed throughout scoring a hat -trick of tries and there was one try each for Nicola Beck and Danielle Anderson to seal the win for the hosts.
