RFL Women’s Leadership & Performance programme
The 2022 – 2023 Cohort of the RFL Women’s Leadership & Performance programme held the first of their four in person workshops at the new home of the governing body at the
Etihad Campus.
The programme is led by Jenny Coe, Coach Developer and current West Ham United Head of Performance & Well-being, supported by Phil Jones Talent Inclusion Manager and Stuart Barrow RFL Head of Pathways (Female) , alongside the in-person workshops, there are monthly online Communities of Practice and 1to1 support of coaching practice.
Workshop one included opportunity for the coaches to share their journey so far as well as aspirations for the future, alongside developing a deeper understanding of self and even a chance for some juggling!
Phil Jones “ What a brilliant day, the journeys all these coaches have already been on are both challenging and inspiring. As a group I can already feel the support network they are starting to create for each other and their open minds to explore new ideas and willingness to learn. I know that members of this cohort will go onto coach in performance environments and influence Rugby League positively on supporting and developing Women coaches
