Halifax offer local community a digital boost

Halifax Panthers have announced a social media takeover this Sunday (14th February).

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Halifax have confirmed the club will be showing a little love for hundreds of local sports clubs, businesses and charities in Calderdale.

The club will be using Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to share posts and tweets from locals in order to give a much-needed shot in the arm to those who have had a tough time over the past year.

To get involved, charities, sports clubs and businesses just need to use the hashtag #PanthersBoost in their own social media posts to allow the club to share to a wider audience.

Halifax Panthers Media & Marketing Director, Lee Kenny, said: “Halifax Panthers has always been a family-orientated club and we see everyone in Halifax as part of our extended family.

“Whether you are a business that’s just started up, been around for 100 years or a charity with very few followers, everyone could use a helping hand to raise awareness and remind people they are still here and ready to engage.

“We recognise that a strong town is essential to all of us. We want to ensure we can shine a light on the amazing industry and creativity that goes on in the area so we can all come through the other side of this pandemic as strongly as possible.”

The club will also be inviting the most creative entries to join them at a game and providing the opportunity for the two panther mascots to help with further promotions for the organisation.
