Adam Hills MBE to host the 2026 RFL President’s Ball

Rugby League Cares is delighted to announce the return of one of the most special evenings in the rugby league calendar, the RFL President’s Ball.

Hosted by Rugby Football League President Adam Hills MBE, the black-tie event will be held on Saturday March 28, 2026 at The Queen’s Hotel in Leeds.

First held in 2005, the RFL President’s Ball is a unique opportunity to celebrate all that is great and good about rugby league in the company of people involved at every level of the sport.

The Ball is also an important fundraising occasion for the Rugby League Benevolent Fund, the charity that provides long-long support to players who suffer life-changing injuries on the field of play.

“It’s great to hear that the President’s Ball is back for 2026, and I’ll be honoured to host it as RFL President,” said Adam Hills MBE.

“It’s a simple and attractive proposition - having a good night and in the process raising money for the Benevolent Fund, which has been so important for so many rugby league players and their families over the years, and really is rugby league at its best.”

RL Cares Chairman Tim Adams MBE said: “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Adam for supporting the RFL President’s Ball and it’s great to see that he is as excited about its return as we are.

“Adam has always been a strong supporter of the work of the sport’s charities, and I am sure his passion for what we do will make the 2026 Ball a very special occasion evening for everyone.”

TV presenter and comedian Adam Hills was appointed as the RFL’s 33rd President in December 2024, when he became the first Australian to hold the honorary position.

A lifelong rugby league fan, Adam has been a stalwart of Physical Disability Rugby League since it was launched in 2018 and regularly plays for Warrington Wolves.

Tickets for the 2026 RFL President’s Ball, which features a three-course dinner, live music and an auction, cost £100 per person (£1,000 for a table of 10) and can be booked by contacting: events@rlcares.org.uk
