It's matters more in the Betfred Championship Round 7 - with a number of rivalries taking place on Good Friday!
Easter Weekend is on the horizon for the Betfred Championship – and if fans thought Rivals Round was just a concept in the Betfred Super League then fear not, because there are some unmissable rivalries happening in Round 7 of the second tier!
The Good Friday tradition will continue with six blockbuster derbies taking place, where two points and the all-important bragging rights are at stake…
Who’s ready for a Friday night feast?
The standout tie of the round sees an unbeaten Halifax Panthers host Brian Noble's Bradford Bulls at The Shay.
It’s set to be a sensational showdown between the two Championship heavyweights, but can anyone stop the Panthers?
The Bulls are searching for back-to-back league wins in order to climb up the ladder, whilst Halifax will want to maintain their three-point lead at the top.
There's a series of local affairs occurring in Yorkshire, as Doncaster entertain Sheffield Eagles at the Eco-Power Stadium in the iconic South Yorkshire Derby.
Both will be looking to return to winning ways following disappointing defeats in Round 5 – and what better way to do this than versus your nearest and dearest?
It’s Sheffield who have won their last six away meetings with Doncaster – with the Dons' last home victory against the Eagles happening over eleven years ago...
Then, expect a classic when Featherstone take on York. The Knights enjoyed a historic win at the Millenium Stadium in Round 12 last year – winning at Post Office Road for the first time since 1957.
It’s set to be a feisty one as York enter this game on the back of thrashing Doncaster 66-0 in Round 5, whereas Fev will be wounded from their narrow loss against Oldham last weekend.
Who will claim the spoils?
Tensions will be high when Batley take on neighbours Hunslet – although it's the Bulldogs have won their last 15 meetings away at South Leeds Stadium.
Can Hunslet finally go home with bragging rights and their first win of 2025?
Over the Pennines, Widnes are in action against high flying Oldham for the first time since 2021, and last but by no means least, Barrow welcome London to Cumbria.
The Broncos are undefeated in their last four away meetings with Barrow, having won three and drawn one.
