Ronseal continue support of Match Officials

Ronseal will continue to support Rugby League’s Match Officials in 2023.

It will be the fourth year that the popular and familiar paint and DIY brand have provided backing for officials from Super League to League One, the grassroots game, also including the Challenge Cup, the 1895 Cup and now also including the Women’s Super League and Women’s Challenge Cup.

The deal will include the first Women’s Challenge Cup Final at Wembley in August, when it will precede the men’s Final in a double-header to be televised on BBC Sport – and Ronseal’s Senior Brand Manager Jimmy Englezos confirmed the sponsorship with Matt Rossleigh, a London-based Grade One official, before the First Round draw earlier this month.

Rhodri Jones, the Managing Director of RL Commercial, said: “We are delighted that Ronseal will again be backing our match officials in 2023.

“The partnership has delivered invaluable support to match officials at all levels of Rugby League since 2020, and has given Ronseal exposure across all formats of the sport from grassroots to international level.

"We are proud of our association with Ronseal - a globally recognised brand - and their continued commitment to Rugby League.’’

Ronseal's Senior Brand Manager Jimmy Englezos added: “We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Rugby League by supporting match officials in 2023.

“At Ronseal, we feel that Rugby League aligns closely to our values as a brand and are very proud of the partnership we’ve built up over the past three years from the grassroots level of the game, up to the top.

“With another great Rugby League season about to kick off, we’re excited to be a part of it for another year and we’re looking forward to seeing the Ronseal-sponsored match officials do exactly what it says on the tin… officiate matches!”
