Paul McShane (Castleford Tigers) pleaded guilty but challenged the grading of a Grade D intentional use of forearm/elbow. The challenge to the grading was unsuccessful and the tribunal found the grading at grade D was correct and appropriate
Player receives a three match suspension and a £500 fine.
In going to the lower end of the grading, the tribunal took into consideration the player's good previous record, there was no injury caused and the player showed immediate remorse by checking with opponent on the field of play.
