Newham Dockers seek new Open Age Head Coach

Newham Dockers seek new Open Age Head Coach

A message from Newham Dockers Rugby League club:

"Newham Dockers were formed in 2012 in Stratford. We train and play at Memorial Park in West Ham, E15 and we’re proud to represent East London in The Greatest Game.

"We have an exciting Open Age squad which competes in the London & South East Championship.

"We're looking for a new Head Coach to take over from our current player-coach, Jake. The position is to start as soon as possible as a co-coach with Jake for the remainder of 2018 and as sole Head Coach for 2019 and beyond (or just from 2019 onwards).

"The ideal candidate for us would be highly experienced in Rugby League but does not necessarily have to have been a coach previously. However, they should certainly consider themselves as "retired" or as a non-player. RFL Coaching Qualifications are preferable but not a requirement, as is some sort of First Aid training.

"Our culture is important to us. You should value loyalty, honesty and should treat others with respect.

"You will want to help take a squad of enthusiastic players to the next level, will be prepared to commit to leading regular Wednesday or Thursday night training sessions as well as running match days and will expect to spend at least your next 2 or 3 years at the club.

"As with all players and backroom staff at the Dockers, you will be a volunteer.

"If the role interests you then please send a short note about yourself to: dockersrl@hotmail.co.uk."
