Outwood eventually ran out comfortable winners in this Wakefield derby match after a tight first half against their near neighbours.
They opened the scoring when Millie Walsh touched down after a powerful charge to the line.
But Hollie Dodd replied with one of her own for Castleford with Keara Bennett's conversion putting them 6-4 ahead.
Aome Stanley restored Outwood's lead with a try and conversion, but then Dodd claimed her second try and Bennett's conversion put them 12-10 ahead.
However, just before half time, Outwood struck again, Aalliyah Rhodes touching down to give them a 16-12 lead at the interval.
They went further ahead early in the second half with Walsh grabbing her second try which Stanley converted.
Stanley was again on target when Rhodes claimed her second touchdown and at 28-12 there was no way back for Castleford.
Rhodes completed her hat-trick before the final whistle which Stanley converted.
