Glantaf Claim Year 7 East Win
On Friday 20th November an all Welsh speaking year 7 East festival saw only 2 entrants with Glantaf hosting Y Gwyndu.
The game was hotly contested with both sides playing some excellent rugby, standout players were lively half-back from Glantaf Louis Rochfort-Shugar and hard running Loose forward for Y Gwyndu, Ioan Hill, both players scoring a hat trick of tries for their team on the day.
The game ended in a win for Glantaf 42-20, however Y Gwyndu were always in the running and a flurry of late tries for Glantaf sealed the win.
Glantaf now progress to play Central winners St John’s (Aberdare) in the coming weeks.
