BBC Sport’s cameras are heading to Butts Park Arena for Coventry Bears v Distington in the third round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup on Sunday, February 25 (3.00pm).
Following impressive victories over Queens and Lock Lane, Cumbria Men’s League side, Distington, who are one of the lowest ranked sides left in the competition, will make the 460-mile round trip to Coventry.
Coventry Bears, one of 14 Betfred League 1 teams entering at the third round stage, will face their first community team in the tournament since entering the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup in 2015. Head coach Tom Tsang will be looking for a positive response from the Bears after their 2018 League 1 opening fixture loss to Doncaster.
The second round streamed tie between Featherstone Lions and Thatto Heath Crusaders attracted a viewing audience of over 18,000. Rounds three to five will also be streamed live on the BBC Sport website before the competition reaches round six and beyond when matches will be screened on BBC One and BBC Two over each weekend.
