
It was derby day delight for Bradford Bulls on Sunday as Lee Greenwood’s side ran in 12 tries to defeat local rivals Keighley Cougars 74-12 at Odsal.
Kieran Gill and Jorge Taufua both claimed hat-tricks, Ben Blackmore, AJ Wallace and Connor Wynne crossed twice, whilst Ebon Scurr also got on the scoresheet for the hosts.
The win moves Bradford up to fifth in the Betfred Championship table, just three points adrift of second-placed Toulouse Olympique.
Olympique were in action themselves when they hosted Widnes Vikings on Saturday afternoon.
Tries from Dimitri Biscarro (x2), Calum Gahan, Maxime Stefani, Paul Marcon, Mathieu Jussaume and Guy Armitage secured a 40-28 win for Sylvain Houles' side.
On the scoresheet for Widnes was Ryan Millar (x4), Shane Grady and Sam Wilde.
Elsewhere, on Sunday, Swinton Lions produced one of the shocks of the weekend after defeating high-flying Sheffield Eagles by 30 points to 22.
The Eagles led 22-10 at the break thanks to scores from Tyler Dickinson, Matty Dawson-Jones (x2) and Anthony Thackeray, but Swinton fought back to record 20 unanswered points in the second period and claim a deserved victory.
League leaders Featherstone Rovers continued their fine start to the season with a convincing 60-0 triumph at Whitehaven.
Sean Long’s troops have now recorded 16 wins from 17 matches, as the club aims to secure a place in the Betfred Super League.
Mark Kheirallah continued his recent run of form with another two tries for Rovers. The fullback has now scored four times in three matches following his return from injury.
In the bottom half of the table, York Knights secured two huge points after emerging as 28-18 winners against Halifax Panthers at the LNER Community Stadium.
Myles Harrison crossed for a brace, whilst AJ Towse, James Cunningham and Jesse Dee were also on the scoresheet for the hosts.
The win moves the Knights up to 10th in the division, seven points above bottom side Newcastle Thunder.
Newcastle went down 56-10 at London Broncos. Rob Butler, Alex Walker and Oli Leyland secured doubles for the Broncos, whilst Bill Leyland, Paul Ulberg, Jacob Gannon, Henry Raiwalui and Jordan Williams also touched down.
Finally, Batley Bulldogs won 12-6 away at Barrow Raiders. Batley’s try scorers were James Meadows and Josh Hodson. Luke Broadbent crossed over for Barrow.
