As England’s Men and Women are set to make their return in a mid-season international double-header this April, Rugbee the infamous mascot will make his 2023 debut and he’s calling on Junior Fans to join him!
For the first time, Junior fans are invited to learn the Rugbee-Rocks routine online at home and perform on pitch when England take on France on Saturday 29th April. Sessions will be available to access right here on the Our League app and boys and girls from age 6 to 16 years are encouraged to give it a try.
Join the Momentum has brought groups together at Rugby League events since 2014. Originally a Rugby League Cares project, the dance programme has engaged thousands of children and their families. New for 2023, individuals will be able to learn the dance routines without the need to be part of a dance school. Lead by Rugbee, the movement will be simple, fun and suitable for both non-dancers and those with more experience.
Kelly Walsh, Programme Delivery Manager said ‘Match-day experiences are a great way to engage the younger fanbase. We know that there are often Junior fans in the crowd who are itching to be a part of the dance presentations and we are thrilled to be able to accommodate them this year. Rugbee was a huge hit throughout the Rugby League World Cup and so we can’t wait to bring him back!’
Junior Fans must be accompanied by an adult to the game, and tickets for the match-day experience are priced at £15 and includes a performance T-shirt.
