Betfred League 1 Preview

A huge Welsh derby is the headline act in Betfred League 1 as West Wales Raiders host North Wales Crusaders at Stebonheath Park, 3pm kick off, in a game that will see fans in attendance for the first time since March 2020.

The Raiders are yet to win in 2021 and sit bottom of the third tier, while their opponents this week are second-bottom having won twice this season.

The visitors have claimed wins over Coventry Bears and London Skolars this year and will be keen to bounce back from a 68-0 reverse against the impressive Doncaster on home turf last weekend.

Meanwhile West Wales will be hoping to recapture some of the magic which saw them bag 24 points at Doncaster on May 23rd, though they ended up on the losing side in a 62-24 defeat.

Elsewhere in Betfred League 1, Barrow Raiders will be looking to continue their scintillating 2021 form as they face a trip to face London Skolars away from home, 3.30pm kick off on Saturday, a game which will be shown exclusively live on Our League.

The Raiders have won six games from six attempts, and have the best attack and the best defence in the league, so will be strong favourites to collect a seventh win in a row against the Skolars, who suffered a 62-10 home reverse against Hunslet last weekend.

On Sunday, Workington town host Rochdale Hornets, 2pm kick off, with Coventry Bears at home to Keigley Cougars and Doncaster travelling to face Hunslet, both at 3pm.
