To all club contacts
At the Management meeting last week, I brought up that around 20-25% of transfers are being sent to me incomplete. The decision of Management was that any transfer which was incomplete or did not have the correct details and/or signatures should be returned to the clubs for correct completion prior to being processed.
Last night, I spent over 3 hours chasing up and raising queries and printing items off which had been previoiusly returned to clubs. I DID NOT PROCESS ANY TRANSFERS IN THIS TIME AND IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME FOR ME AND THE CLUBS INVOLVED. It is the Clubs responsibility to ensure that the documentation is correct before it is submitted and it delays the transfers which Clubs then start to chase me for and the knock on effect is that I can't process transfers and answer the phone or respond to emails and the delay is compounded.
I currently have approx 30 transfers which have been delayed for at least a week because of this which I will try to clear as soon as possible
Secondly, I am getting numerous phone calls and emails to my work phone or email address. I am not employed by the RFL to respond to YJ queries during the day and I am concious that my work colleagues hear the conversations that I am having which means that I am not doing the job I am actually employed to do. I do transfers in my own time on a voluntary basis and any calls or emails which relate to Yorkshire Juniors should only be directed to my personal contact details and can (should) only be responded to out of work hours.
