Flashgun Consulting Join England Universities Rugby League For Second Year Of Sponsorship

Flashgun Consulting Ltd's logo will appear on the collar bone area of the England Universities Rugby League shirts, marking a second year of involvement with the team after occupying a position below the number in the 2019 season. 

The Cheshire based IT Consultancy, specialising in Service Management process development and Service Delivery implementations for both Small to Medium sized companies as well as Blue Chip and Public Sector Organisations, are the second sponsor to be announced by the squad this week.

"Last year was our first opportunity to provide sponsorship to England Universities Rugby League and we are so glad that we took that decision" said company director Dave Smith.  "The player development that we witnessed, watching every game, was an absolute credit to the dedication of the Coaches, Physio, Conditioner and Team Manager who all put in so much time and energy to lead the players to the Student Rugby League Four Nations title in Edinburgh last June. Everyone made us feel so welcome at the games and kept us informed the whole way through the process. A fantastic group, and the reward for us was seeing them enjoying their Rugby and building a real team culture!"

Whilst the squad receives some central funding from the RFL, the majority of the programme is funded by the players themselves and as such the contribution that kit sponsors make reduces the amount of fundraising that the players have to do for themselves. 

"I'm really pleased that Flashgun Consulting are back with us for a second year" said David Butler, Team Manager. "Its great that we've been able to find them a new spot on the shirt to give them some more profile and we're looking forward to Dave and Helen joining us at our games and cheering us on - they are great supporters on and of the field!"

The England Universities squad met for the first training camp last weekend and were presented their shirts by Super League legend Danny McGuire before training and undertaking a number of icebreaker sessions whilst being introduced to injury management and strength and conditioning by the volunteer staff.
