TASS Announce extended sponsorship of University & Colleges Rugby League International Squads

TASS - the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme - a Sport England funded partnership between talented athletes, TASS delivery sites and national governing bodies of sport, has added its support to the recently re-launched England Students Women's Rugby League team as primary sponsor, a position TASS has held on the England Universities Men's team shirts since the 2017.

TASS will occupy the front of shirt position for both teams throughout the 2020 season and the 2021 season, which will include participation in the Festival of World Cups for both teams.

"We are delighted that TASS have been able to provide support to the women's programme to complement the support they have given to the men's programme over the last three years and we are delighted to have them on board for the World Cups next year" said Adam Hughes, RFL National Education Manager. "Both programmes receive some financial support from the RFL, but in the majority they are player funded and as such any support that sponsors provide reduces the burden on the players."

TASS's aim is to bring out the best of our country's most exciting talent, helping athletes in education, training and self-development to get the very best from their sporting and educational/vocational  lives without having to choose between the two.

Guy Taylor, TASS National Director, added ‘We are thrilled to be primary sponsors of the England Students Women's Rugby League Team. This league allows excellent athletes to play competitive rugby at a very high level, whilst also pursuing their career dreams. This is how we bring the best out of our athletes.'

Both the England Student Women and the England Universities Men teams were presented with their shirts at the Sheffield Hallam Sports Park which included a joint team picture to celebrate the TASS sponsorship.
