Public health considerations – for everyone - and particularly the most vulnerable in all our communities - are everyone’s priority.

The Rugby Football League and Super League are following and have always followed Government’s advice and will continue to do so. We are in constant contact with the relevant Government Departments who are informed by the national scientific and medical experts.

All tickets purchased with RFL ticketing are subject to the standard terms and conditions of sale which can be found on our ticketing website

Please understand that due to the high volume of enquiries, our ticketing team is experiencing higher numbers of calls and emails at the current time and it may therefore take a little longer than normal for us to respond.  We will endeavour to respond to all our customers within 72 hours at this time.We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

Dacia Magic Weekend

Dacia Magic Weekend 2020 has now been cancelled. The event was due to make its return to St James’ Park, Newcastle on May 23-24.

Tickets already purchased for this year will be valid for Dacia Magic Weekend in 2021, for which a deal has been agreed in principle for a return to St James’ Park, Newcastle on 29 and 30 May.

We thank you for your continued understanding and patience at this uncertain time.

Should fans that have bought tickets already not be able to attend in 2021 then, as per the terms and conditions of sale, you will be entitled to a refund.

Consequently, we have prepared some FAQs to provide you with some further information.

Will my existing ticket(s) be valid for the rearranged date?

Yes - as per the RFL ticketing terms and conditions, your existing tickets will remain valid for the event in 2021 and you don’t need to do anything.

What happens to my ticket(s) if I cannot attend the 2021 event?

Should you be unable to attend you will be able to request one of the following courses of action should you wish to cancel/return your tickets:

1.     receive a credit note for the full amount paid, including booking fees, to be used for any other 2020 or 2021 Super League or RFL Ticketing event or

2.     receive a full refund of the ticket price that you paid

If I want the credit for a ticket(s) to another major Rugby League event this year or next what do I do?

To opt for this option correspondence relating to credit notes must be marked ‘MATCH CREDIT NOTE’ and e-mailed to 2020events@rfl.co.uk.

The request must be made by the person who purchased the tickets (account holder). The name and address of the person who made the original booking must be supplied in BLOCK CAPITALS for a credit note to be given. You must also include either your order or customer reference number and stipulate that you bought tickets for Dacia Magic Weekend.  As no tickets for 2020 events were issued you are not required to return any printed tickets.

To help us manage this process we ask that you make your credit request before 11 August 2020. All customers who request a match credit will be notified when it is available to redeem for a future event.

PLEASE NOTE If a ticket purchaser hasn’t claimed a refund or credit note by midnight on 11 August 2020 the booking will be transferred to Dacia Magic Weekend 2021.

PLEASE NOTE Credit Notes are not available via any other form of communication including other mailboxes or over the telephone. Where possible please refrain from calling our box office.  We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

I already know I don’t want to attend the event in 2021. When can I request a refund?

Given the unprecedented circumstances, we understand that some fans may be eager to receive their money back as soon as possible.

An initial refund and credit note period for existing ticket purchasers ran until 11 August 2020. If a ticket holder didn’t make a claim by this deadline then their booking automatically transferred to 2021 event. Once the full 2021 Dacia Magic Weekend details have been finalised, after the conclusion of the 2020 season, ticket purchasers who are unable to attend the event will be given a further period to claim a refund or credit note.

How long will my refund take?

Please allow 28 days from the date of your request for your refund to appear in your account. We ask for you not to contact us as we work through your refund process.  We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

PLEASE NOTE Refunds for multiple events or multiple days of events may appear separately in your account.

Rugby League Ashes Series

The Rugby Football League and the Australian Rugby League Commission have confirmed the cancellation of the Rugby League Ashes Series that was scheduled to be held in England this October and November.

Given the continued complications surrounding global travel, and the need to extend the domestic season in both hemispheres because of the significant disruption caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, the governing bodies have agreed to take an early decision to allow greater certainty for players and supporters.

However both the RFL and the ARLC remain committed to the revival of the great Rugby League tradition of the Ashes - which was first contested in 1908 and had been due to be revived after a 17-year absence for its 40th edition in 2020 – and the Kangaroo tour.

With the Rugby League World Cup to be held in England in 2021, discussions have already been opened on the potential for the Kangaroos returning for a three-Test Ashes series, possibly as soon as 2022.

Fans who had already purchased tickets to the RL Ashes were able to either claim a credit for a ticket to attend any major RFL or Super League event in 2020 or 2021, OR any England RLWC2021 match or the RLWC2021 Final. Alternatively, fans could request a refund.

Please note that refunds had to be requested by Mon 31 Aug and are no longer available. If you did not request a refund by that date, you will automatically receive a ticket credit.

Other Major Rugby League Events in 2020

I am worried about Covid 19 (Coronavirus), can I get a refund on ticket(s) for an event that is still planned to go ahead?

Please note at the current time all other major Rugby League events this year are still going ahead, therefore no refunds are available for any other major events in 2020.

If an event is still stated as going ahead as originally planned, you will not be entitled to a refund as per the T&C’s of sale.

RFL ticketing appreciates that there is a degree of uncertainty regarding 2020 events and further information will shared as it becomes available.

TICKET CREDIT FAQs

Customers that received RFL ticketing account credit as opposed to a cash refund can follow the FAQ’s below for further information on how this can be used for a variety of events.

When will I receive my credit?

Customers who requested credit following the cancellation of Summer Bash, Coral Challenge Cup Semi-Finals, RL Ashes and Dacia Magic Weekend can access their credit from Wednesday 10th September. Customers who requested a credit following the announcement regarding the Coral Challenge Cup Final being played behind closed doors can access this from Friday 23rd October.

What can I use my credit for?

Credit can be used for any RFL or Super League event in 2020 or 2021 with details of future events expected to be announced in due course.

When can I spend my credit?

Credit customers were permitted access to the RLWC2021 priority window which opened on September 21st and closed on October 1st. As above if you wish to instead use your credit on a future RFL/Super League event please be patient as further details are announced.

How do I use my credit?

Credits should be used online via your RFL ticketing account. The amount you currently have credited will appear on your homescreen and can be applied before completing your purchase. You can use as little or as much of your credit on a transaction as you wish and pay any balance with a credit/debit card. However, please ensure this is applied prior to completion of the sale as we are unable to action retrospectively. If you are a customer with accessible ticketing requirements you can also use the credit by speaking to a member of our box office.

I've decided I no longer want a credit

All refunds had to be requested by Monday 31st August. At that point customers were given credit to use on the events listed above. Refunds are no longer available.

I have purchased RLWC2021 tickets with my credit but cannot select my seat. What next?

All RLWC2021 tickets purchased with credit will be handed over to the RLWC2021 team post priority window closing on Thursday 1st October. You will be contacted by the team after this date, who will allocate a seat and be able to discuss any requirements you may have.

Does my credit expire?

All credit must be used by the end of the 2021 Rugby League season. After this point you will no longer be able to utilise account credit for events.
