Please understand that due to the high volume of enquiries, our ticketing team is experiencing higher numbers of calls and emails at the current time and it may therefore take a little longer than normal for us to respond.  We will endeavour to respond to all our customers within 72 hours at this time.We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

Dacia Magic Weekend

Dacia Magic Weekend 2021 has now been confirmed at James’ Park, Newcastle on 29 and 30 May.

Any tickets purchased for 2020, and where a refund has not been requested, will be valid for Dacia Magic Weekend in 2021. We thank you for your continued support and understanding at this uncertain time.

Consequently, we have prepared some FAQs to provide you with some further information.

Will my existing ticket(s) be valid for 2021?

Yes - as per the RFL ticketing terms and conditions, your existing tickets will remain valid for the event in 2021 and you don’t need to do anything.

What happens to my ticket(s) if I cannot attend the 2021 event?

We wrote to all ticket purchasers on 29 June 2020 when the 2020 event got cancelled. We then gave people an opportunity to claim a refund or credit note until 11 August 2020.

To make it easier for customers who did not claim a refund in this time we transferred all tickets to the 2021 event.

Please note that whilst every effort will be made to locate your seats in the same area for the 2021 Magic Weekend we cannot guarantee that this will be possible in all cases. Should your seats need to be relocated, they will be transferred to a location that matches the price band that you paid for the 2020 Magic Weekend. Additionally, if restrictions still apply at the time it may be required to convert all previously unreserved areas of the venue to reserved seating. This means that you may be required to remain in the same seat throughout the duration of the event where this was previously not the case.

Should you wish to claim a refund now that the date and venue for 2021 has been finalised you have until midnight on Wednesday 30 December 2020. This will be the final refund window that will be available. To claim a refund or credit note please follow the procedures outlined below.

If I want the credit for a ticket(s) to another major 2021 Rugby League event this year or next what do I do?

To opt for this option correspondence relating to credit notes must be marked ‘MATCH CREDIT NOTE’ and e-mailed to 2020events@rfl.co.uk.

The request must be made by the person who purchased the tickets (account holder). The name and address of the person who made the original booking must be supplied in BLOCK CAPITALS for a credit note to be given. You must also include either your order or customer reference number and stipulate that you bought tickets for Dacia Magic Weekend.  As no tickets for 2020 events were issued you are not required to return any printed tickets.

To help us manage this process we ask that you make your credit request before midnight on 30 December 2020. All customers who request a match credit will be notified when it is available to redeem for a future event.

PLEASE NOTE: If a ticket purchaser hasn’t claimed a refund or credit note by midnight on 30 December 2020 the booking will be transferred to Dacia Magic Weekend 2021.

PLEASE NOTE: Credit Notes are not available via any other form of communication including other mailboxes or over the telephone. Where possible please refrain from calling our box office.  We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

I already know I don’t want to attend the event in 2021. When can I request a refund?

Given the unprecedented circumstances, we understand that some fans may be eager to receive their money back as soon as possible.

Ticket purchasers are able to apply for a refund from 01 December until midnight 30 December 2020.

Correspondence relating to refunds must be marked ‘MATCH REFUNDS’ and e-mailed to 2020events@rfl.co.uk.

The request must be made by the person who purchased the tickets (account holder) and approved refunds will be authorised to the payment card only. The name and address of the person who made the original booking must be supplied in BLOCK CAPITALS for a refund to be given. You must also include either your order or customer reference number and stipulate that you bought tickets for Dacia Magic Weekend. As no tickets for 2020 events were issued you are not required to return any printed tickets.

PLEASE NOTE: If a ticket purchaser hasn’t claimed a refund or credit note by midnight on 30 December 2020 the booking will be transferred to Dacia Magic Weekend 2021.

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds are not available via any other form of communication including other mailboxes or over the telephone. Where possible please refrain from calling our box office.  We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

How long will my refund take?

Please allow 28 days from the date of your request for your refund to appear in your account. We ask for you not to contact us as we work through your refund process.  We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

PLEASE NOTE Refunds for multiple events or multiple days of events may appear separately in your account.

The card I used for payment has expired/been cancelled

Unfortunately, we can't issue a refund to any new cards you might have. On the advice of our bank, we only refund the card that was originally used to pay. Most of the time, if you've had a replacement card for the same account the refund will go into your account automatically and you won't need to do anything. If your account is closed or you've had a replacement card and the refund still isn't appearing in your account after 28 days, please contact your card issuer. They'll be holding the funds for you and will be able to arrange a transfer to your new account. Unfortunately, we can't reclaim the money and issue the refund to a new card for you.

I haven’t received my refund yet

Please allow 28 days from the date of your request for the refund to appear in the account. If it still hasn’t appeared, please double check the card you have used for the payment. If this card has since expired or been cancelled please see above.

PLEASE NOTE Refunds for multiple events or multiple days of events may appear separately in your account.

Can I use ticket credit to buy 2021 Magic Weekend tickets?

Yes, you can although tickets are not currently on sale. The amount you currently have credited will appear on your RFL Ticketing home screen and your credit can be applied before completing your purchase. You can use as little or as much of your credit on a transaction as you wish and pay any remaining balance with a credit/debit card. However, please ensure that your credit is applied prior to completion of the sale as we are unable to action retrospectively. If you are a customer with accessible ticketing requirements, you can also use the credit by speaking to a member of our Box Office.

I have purchased tickets for an event with someone other than RFL Ticketing (eg. my club). How do I get a refund?

Please speak to the point of sale from where your ticket originates for further information. Clubs will operate their own refund policies, many of which can be found on Club websites and they will communicate further information for fans who have purchased directly with them.

Failure to provide contact info for each ticket purchased will result in your tickets being voided and your ticket purchase being refunded

If you wish to buy 2021 Cup Final tickets, please be aware of the following additional FAQs related to your purchase.

How many tickets are available?

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, at this stage we are selling the event on the basis that the stadium will require to be socially distanced. As a result, we have an initial 17,000 tickets available to buy for the 2021 Cup Final and we expect that this total will be increased in the coming months. Please note that there is a maximum limit of ten tickets per customer. For larger bookings, contact our Group Sales Manager at shaun.tennant@rfl.uk.com or on 07891 309 193.

Can I choose my seats?

You cannot choose your seats and instead you can buy tickets at different pricing categories. Tickets for the 2021 Cup Final are sold on a best available basis and you will be allocated your seats by the RFL at a later stage. There is currently no expectation that the ability to choose your own seats will be available ahead of the event. However, if this changes, the choose seats feature will be added to the RFL ticketing website and we will notify supporters via email.

How long does the early bird offer last for?

If you buy now, you can receive our Early Bird pricing and receive 25% OFF your ticket purchase. The Early Bird offer is live now and will end at 3pm on Thu 14 Jan, at which stage tickets will move to full price.

When and how will i receive my tickets?

All tickets for the 2021 Cup Final will be Print at Home. No tickets will be posted to mailing addresses. When you buy your tickets, you will not receive your Print at Home tickets at that time. The RFL will allocate your seats and you will be sent your Print at Home tickets at a later stage. If you have not received your email with your Print at Home tickets two weeks before the event, please contact ticketing@rfl.co.uk.

Will I need an email address to purchase tickets?

Yes, email addresses will now be a mandatory part of the ticket buying process. Not only for Print at Home tickets but also to comply with Track & Trace regulations (see above). Customers must supply an email address on every booking, even those by telephone to our Box Office. If you do not have an email address you can register free to many domains and this only takes a matter of minutes. Or seek permission from a friend or family member to utilise their email address for booking and Track & Trace purposes.

Will my exisiting 2020 cup final ticket(s) be valid for the 2021 cup final?

If you chose to transfer your 2020 Cup Final tickets to the 2021 Cup Final, your tickets are still valid and you will be allocated new seats and the usual T&C’s of sale will apply. Please note that whilst every effort will be made to locate your seats in the same area for the 2021 Cup Final, we cannot guarantee that this will be possible in all cases. Should your seats need to be relocated, they will be transferred to a location that matches the price band that you paid for the 2020 Cup Final.

Will my seat be socially distanced?

If Govt. restrictions still apply at the time of the 2021 Cup Final, your stadium seating may be subject to social distancing.

Can I use ticket credits to buy 2021 cup final tickets?

Yes, you can.

Will I receive a refund if fans are not allowed into the stadium?

Yes, should fans not be permitted in the stadium at the 2021 Cup Final, you will be able to request a full refund of the ticket price that you paid.

Please note that should Govt. restrictions change, we will amend these FAQs and contact all ticket buyers if the restriction changes affect their 2021 Cup Final attendance.

Rugby League Ashes Series

The Rugby Football League and the Australian Rugby League Commission have confirmed the cancellation of the Rugby League Ashes Series that was scheduled to be held in England this October and November.

Given the continued complications surrounding global travel, and the need to extend the domestic season in both hemispheres because of the significant disruption caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, the governing bodies have agreed to take an early decision to allow greater certainty for players and supporters.

However both the RFL and the ARLC remain committed to the revival of the great Rugby League tradition of the Ashes - which was first contested in 1908 and had been due to be revived after a 17-year absence for its 40th edition in 2020 – and the Kangaroo tour.

With the Rugby League World Cup to be held in England in 2021, discussions have already been opened on the potential for the Kangaroos returning for a three-Test Ashes series, possibly as soon as 2022.

Fans who had already purchased tickets to the RL Ashes were able to either claim a credit for a ticket to attend any major RFL or Super League event in 2020 or 2021, OR any England RLWC2021 match or the RLWC2021 Final. Alternatively, fans could request a refund.

Please note that refunds had to be requested by Mon 31 Aug and are no longer available. If you did not request a refund by that date, you will automatically receive a ticket credit.

Other Major Rugby League Events in 2020

I am worried about Covid 19 (Coronavirus), can I get a refund on ticket(s) for an event that is still planned to go ahead?

Please note at the current time all other major Rugby League events this year are still going ahead, therefore no refunds are available for any other major events in 2020.

If an event is still stated as going ahead as originally planned, you will not be entitled to a refund as per the T&C’s of sale.

RFL ticketing appreciates that there is a degree of uncertainty regarding 2020 events and further information will shared as it becomes available.
