Catalans Dragons, the current holders of the Coral Challenge Cup, were drawn against Doncaster RLFC, the lowest ranked team remaining in this year’s competition, in tonight’s sixth round draw.
League 1 side Doncaster, who defeated Championship outfit Batley Bulldogs in the Round Five, will travel to Perpignan to take on the Dragons next month.
The draw was broadcast live on the BBC Sport website this evening and conducting the draw was Paul Sculthorpe MBE and BBC Rugby League pundit Jon Wilkin, who have both lifted the prestigious Challenge Cup trophy on four occasions respectively.
Warrington Wolves will come head-to-head with Wigan Warriors in one of four all Super League ties which also see Huddersfield Giants face current League Leaders St Helens, Salford Red Devils take on Hull Kingston Rovers and 2016 and 2017 Challenge Cup Champions Hull FC welcome Castleford Tigers to the KCOM Stadium.
In a repeat of the 2003 Challenge Cup final, Bradford Bulls will welcome Leeds Rhinos to Odsal Stadium and in an all-Championship tie Dewsbury Rams will face Halifax RLFC, who defeated London Broncos in Round Five.
In the final fixture, Wakefield Trinity welcome Championship side Widnes Vikings.
The ties will be played on the weekend of May 9-12, with two games televised on BBC1 and BBC2 and also two games selected by Sky Sports.
