This Sunday (September 4) will see Leeds’ Headingley Stadium play host to a mouth-watering double header for the Betfred Women’s Super League Semi-Finals, live on Sky Sports.
We kick things off with the newly crowned League Leaders’ Shield Winners, as York City Knights take on Wigan Warriors at 3pm.
It’s York’s second trip to Headingley in the space of a week, and they’ll no doubt be arriving with a spring in their step this time after coming from behind last week against Leeds Rhinos to secure the League Leaders’ Shield.
Their head-to-head record against opponents Wigan bodes well for the Knights, too – they’ve won the last six meetings between the two sides.
The second clash of the day sees reigning champions St Helens take on Leeds Rhinos at 5:15pm – a fixture that has already delivered some memorable games this year.
Before the Betfred Women’s Super League had even kicked off, the sides met at Elland Road for the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final, where St Helens ran out 8-18 winners. Leeds soon responded, though, and shocked the Totally Wicked Stadium with a last-gap 18-20 win in their first BWSL meeting of the season.
St Helens made amends in their most recent encounter with a 22-30 away victory, and will be looking to replicate their performance as they aim to defend their title.
Tickets are now on sale online at just £5 – kick offs for Game 1 & 2 are at 3pm and 5:15pm respectively, with both matches to be broadcast live on Sky Sports Mix.
Tickets can also be bought in advance by calling 0371 423 1315 between 10am-4pm today.
In-person purchases are available in advance at the Leeds Rhinos Club Shop at Headingley Stadium from 10am-4pm on Friday & Saturday, and on the day at the Gate B turnstiles from 2pm.
Wheelchair tickets are also available and can be ordered by calling Leeds Rhinos Ticket Office on 0371 423 1315 during opening hours or organised on match day at the ticket office (opens at 2pm).
Tickets are now on sale for the Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final, which will be played on Sunday 18 September at the Totally Wicked Stadium – home of reigning champions St Helens.
The Grand Final kicks off at 3.30pm and follows the Women’s Super League Shield Final which kicks off at 12.30pm.
Tickets for this finals double-header are available to buy online now, priced at only £10 Adults and £5 Concessions. Admission is FREE for Under 16s.
The Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final will also be shown live on Sky Sports, meaning that Sky will again show all three Super League Grand Finals – Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair.
