Wigan Warriors bounced back from their defeat last weekend with a 46-4 victory over Hull KR.

Bevan French and Liam Marshall both scored hat-tricks in a game which saw Hull KR lose numerous players due to injuries.

The Warriors started strong with four tries in the opening 20 minutes. Bevan French opened the scoring after three minutes, with fellow winger Liam Marshall doubling the lead soon after.

Marshall then turned provided when his kick on the last bounced into the path of Mike Cooper for his first Wigan Warriors try.  French acrobatically added a second after latching onto a Jai Field kick.

Rovers fought back in the remainder of the half as they restricted Wigan’s free flowing attack. A pin-point kick found Ethan Ryan who went over for a score in the corner, as they trailed 20-4 at the interval.

Just like the first half, Wigan came out strong with a try inside the opening five minutes. French danced around the Rovers defence before it was spread out to Kai Pearce-Paul who touched down in the corner despite the Rovers best effort to stop him.

Marshall added his second of the evening soon after.

French completed his hat-trick just after the hour mark with his 24th try of the season.

Patrick Mago barged over for his first Super League. Harry Smith extend Wigan’s lead to 40-6 with eight minutes remaining.

Liam Marshall compounded the Hull KR misery when he completed a hat-trick of his own.

The defeat sees Hull KR drop below local rivals Hull FC and into eighth in the Betfred Super League table, in a night which saw five players leave the field due to injuries.
