With England Men's clash with the Combined Nations All-Stars just weeks away, we check on the fortunes of your England stars from across Super League and the NRL.

George Williams was on the scoresheet for Warrington Wolves on Thursday night but it was a 12-10 defeat at home to St Helens for his side. The halfback also produced the assist for Warrington's other try, while Stefan Ratchford added one conversion on the night.

Daryl Powell handed starts to Daryl Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie in the pack.

For St Helens, Tommy Makinson was his usual influential self as he scored a try and kicked two goals, crucially converting his own score from wide out, while running 176 metres from 22 carries.

Alex Walmsley was Saints' other tryscorer, while Jack Welsby managed 138 metres from 11 carries at full back and Mark Percival impressed with an output of 170 metres from 19 carries.

Kristian Woolf also handed starts to Morgan Knowles, Matty Lees and Jonny Lomax - Lomax stood out with 142 metres from 19 carries on the night.

On Friday, Jermaine McGillvary started and played the full match for Huddersfield Giants in their hard-fought 17-16 home win over Toulouse Olympique. The winger chipped in with 16 carries and managed 147 metres for the cause.

Zak Hardaker started at full back for Leeds Rhinos as they recorded their third win of the league season in 2022, a 24-6 home triumph against Wakefield Trinity.

Though he didn't affect the scoresheet, his 19 carries and 142 running metres proved to be an eye-catching contribution as he was named as Player of the Match.

Mikolaj Oledzki recorded a rare try assist for Leeds, while there was a start at hooker for Kruise Leeming. In opposition, Reece Lyne started at centre and played the full match for Wakefield, making 108 metres from 15 carries.

Paul McShane was the only England squad member on show in Friday's live Sky Sports clash between Salford Red Devils and Castleford Tigers, with Salford claiming a 30-14 win. McShane started the match and made 31 tackles for his side.

Tom Davies was a tryscorer and Catalans' top metre maker with 160 as the Dragons ran out 20-8 winners at Hull KR in Channel 4's latest live match on Saturday. Sam Tomkins also started for the visitors at full back, registering a try assist for his side.

In a losing effort for Hull KR, Ryan Hall made 168 metres from 14 carries at Craven Park.

Also on Saturday, Wigan Warriors were on the end of a 31-22 defeat at Hull FC. Despite a disappointing result for Wigan, there were tries for England squad members John Bateman, Liam Marshall and Liam Farrell, who bagged his 125th from 310 appearances for the Warriors.

In the NRL, Herbie Farnworth won the battle of the England-born outside backs against Dom Young as his Brisbane Broncos side claimed a 36-12 win at Newcastle Knights on Thursday.

Farnworth scored a try on the final hooter and contributed 133 metres from 14 carries. Young meanwhile made 95 metres, with an eye-catching 47 coming post-contact.

Luke Thompson continued his impressive form in 2022 for the troubled Canterbury Bulldogs as he made 31 tackles during his 36 minutes on the pitch, though his side were on the end of a 36-22 defeat at Wests Tigers on Friday.

Elliott Whitehead captained Canberra Raiders to an eye-catching 32-12 win at South Sydney Rabbitohs on Sunday, he started and played the full 80 minutes in a typically industrious display.

Harry Rushton featured off the bench for Canberra, making 24 tackles and 92 metres during just 38 minutes of action.

Tom Burgess started for Souths and managed an admirable 110 metres from 12 carries as he played 47 minutes of the clash.
