Halifax RLFC have signed Scott Grix on a season-long loan.
Grix, who was born in Halifax, previously played for the club back in 2004 making 18 appearances and scoring 32 points. The veteran has since played for Limoux Grizzlies, Leigh Centurions, Widnes Vikings, Wakefield Trinity and Huddersfield Giants.
Grix said: “It’s a brilliant opportunity for me to play for my home town club, especially with Simon still being involved.
“It’s been a long time since I wore a blue and white jersey and I can’t wait to get it back on. Thanks to both clubs for making this happen.
“As well as playing, the move to Huddersfield Giants has provided me with a fantastic opportunity to develop my coaching career as Academy Head Coach and also develop the back line for the first team, both of which I will continue to do.”
Halifax got back to winning ways last weekend with their victory over Sheffield Eagles and are set to face Barrow Raiders on Sunday in search of a second consecutive victory.
