More live BBC coverage for rearranged Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final

The Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final between Leeds Rhinos and the Argonauts Skeleton Army has been put back to Sunday August 15 – and will be shown live on BBC Sport.
The Final had been scheduled for this Saturday (July 3), but has been rearranged following a positive Covid-19 test for one of the Leeds players who was involved in England’s victory over Wales in the Wheelchair Rugby League International in Sheffield last Saturday (June 26) – which following test and trace analysis also requires a number of team-mates to isolate.
Marc Lovering, the RFL’s Director of Participation and Development, said: “It is typical of the positive attitude of all involved in Wheelchair Rugby League that we have been able to find such a good solution to a difficult situation.
“We are grateful to both teams and the BBC for their flexibility in agreeing a new date which allows us to retain live coverage at the English Institute of Sport – following the hugely positive reaction to the coverage of the England-Wales match at the weekend.”
The 2021 Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final, the first to be sponsored by Betfred, will kick off at 1230pm – and tickets will be available soon.
