Matty Lees has been banned for two matches following today’s independent tribunal.
The St Helens forward pled guilty to a Grade D charge of a reckless, off the ball strike on a Salford Red Devils opponent during the first half of Saturday’s Betfred Super League.
A number of players have also been punished for their roles in a brawl during a recent Academy fixture between Bradford Bulls and London Broncos.
Lewis Magson of Bradford has been suspended for seven matches, and fined £25, after pleading guilty to a Grade F charge of punching.
Jacob Bateman, also of Bradford, has been suspended for nine matches, and fined £25, after pleading guilty to a Grade F charge of running in and punching.
A third Bulls player, Sam Ackroyd, has been suspended for seven matches, and fined £25, after pleading guilty to a Grade F charge of running in and punching.
Samuel Winney of London Broncos has been suspended for two matches, and fined £25, after pleading guilty to a Grade C charge of punching in self-defence.
