More history-making in Women’s Super League #ShowUp

Women's Super League sees more firsts with fixtures at iconic Rugby League stadia.

This weekend sees the first-ever Women's Super League game at the Emerald Headingley Stadium as Leeds Rhinos Women take on Castleford Tigers Women.

And history will also be made at the Totally Wicked Stadium next week with the first game for the newly-formed St Helens Women as they face Hull FC Women in the Women's Challenge Cup, ahead of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Quarter Finals on Sunday, June 3.

Ralph Rimmer, Interim Chief Executive The Rugby Football League, said: "Women's Rugby League is making history.

"Every week we see new firsts in the women's game.

"It has been brilliant to see well-marketed and well-supported double-headers with the men's game at clubs like York City Knights.

"It's fantastic and entirely appropriate the best of Women's Rugby League should be played at some of the sport's best venues.

"I urge all fans to read and watch comments made by Leeds Rhinos stars like Lois Forsell and Danika Priim about just how much it means to the players to play at Headingley - absolutely inspiring."

#ShowUp for women's sport is a national campaign by Sky Sports and Women's Sport Trust to encourage friends and families to watch women's sport live.
