Former Wales rugby union superstar Gavin Henson has signed for Betfred League 1 side West Wales Raiders.
The high-profile back enjoyed a fine if injury-hit on field career, representing Wales 33 times and collecting a cap for the British and Irish Lions.
The now 38 year old represented the likes of Ospreys, Saracens, Toulon, Bath and Bristol as a centre, fly half and full back, as well as off-field forays into TV which saw him take part in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2010.
The Bridgend-born star last played rugby 18 months ago with the Newport-based Dragons before directing his focus towards his new pub business while playing Sunday league football.
He adds another element of star quality to the third tier of Rugby League in the northern hemisphere which will see him face off with the likes of Ottawa Aces, Newcastle Thunder and Workington Town.
