Ottawa Aces have confirmed their third signing as Matty Fozard.

The Welsh International joins the Canadian club following two seasons with London Broncos, including their 2019 Betfred Super League campaign.

Fozard’s career began with St Helens before the hooker spent three years with Sheffield Eagles between 2016 and 2018. He has featured for Wales on eight occasions, scoring one try.

Matty Fozard said: “I’d just like to say how excited I am to be part of a new upcoming club with great plans for the future.

“I’m really looking forward to embarking on this venture and meeting everyone over in Ottawa."

Ottawa Aces Head Coach, Laurent Frayssinous, said: “I am over the moon that Matty decided to join our project.

“He has vital Super League experience. Matty has high expectations of himself and the team, which suits what we want to achieve perfectly.

“He can play different positions, is very strong defensively, and has a lot of skills to bring to the club.”

Fozard joins half-back combination Louis Jouffret and Tom Gilmore in joining the Aces ahead of their debut Betfred League 1 season.
