Masters welcomes Upton

The lads from Upton had heard a lot about Masters Rugby League but went into their first game somewhat unsure of what to expect. Their first game was away at Elland (Halifax) who are now in their third Masters season and was refereed by experienced senior Masters referee, Martin Flynn. The scene was set and Upton's Masters adventure was about to begin.

The game was a first class game of Masters Rugby League with both teams enjoying their Rugby League playing in true Masters spirit. Several tries were scored in an exciting game with Upton's first ever Masters try was scored by Mark Tepper.

Mark summed it up well at the end of the game “ we can't thank referee, Martin, and the Elland lads enough for helping us adjust to the Masters rules. All the lads thoroughly enjoyed it"

The Upton lads are now spreading the word of just how enjoyable Masters Rugby League is. Mark Tepper added “The lads can't wait for our next game!
