Get behind #ShowUp for Women’s Sport

The Rugby Football League warmly welcomes the launch of a new campaign from Sky Sports and the Women’s Sport Trust to encourage more people to watch women’s sport.

#ShowUp is set to drive the conversation between friends and families about going together to women’s sports events, and experiencing women’s sport live.

Ralph Rimmer, Interim Chief Executive The Rugby Football League says; “We are seeing strong growth in the women’s game in terms of player numbers, and some great attendances in both Women’s Super League and the Championship. There’s much more all of us who love the sport can do to promote the watching of Women’s Rugby League. There’s no better way to inspire a generation of active girls and new fans of women’s sport than by enjoying a great Rugby League experience live.

“Sky Sports and the Women’s Sport Trust, and others, are doing really great work around women’s sport – promoting playing and watching and addressing media coverage which remains far behind where it should be. With our clubs, Rugby League Foundations and partners we are extremely ambitious for Women’s Rugby League. I would like to see some of our outstanding players, already role models, become household names.”

#ShowUp to watch fixtures include the Women’s Super League game at Betfred Championship Summer Bash between Featherstone Rovers v Bradford Bulls (KO 12:30) on Saturday 26th May at Bloomfield Road.

Tickets for Summer Bash start from just £12.50 and are available from or via the stadium ticket office at Bloomfield Road over the weekend.
