Great Britain Tag Rugby is excited to announce the 2018 Tag World Cup squads and Lead Partner of the World Cup campaign.
Great Britain will be represented at the 2018 Tag World Cup in four divisions; Mixed Open, Men's Open, Ladies Seniors (27+) and Men's Seniors (30+).
The Tag World Cup takes place at Coffs Harbour, Australia on November 1-4, 2018.
The coaching teams of each squad narrowed down their train-on squads from 30 players to 20 with two non-travelling reserves.
Training resumes for the squads on Sunday 29th July after a short break.
Great Britain Tag Rugby Programme Director Toby Hartley said: "The levels of commitment and performance in training to date has been of a very high standard, and with the support of our Great Britain partners this standard is only set to increase.
"Congratulations again to all the players selected to represent Great Britain, every player has undoubtedly earned their seat on the plane to Australia and I’m sure this will reflect on the field at the 2018 Tag World Cup."
In an exciting week for the sport of Tag Rugby, BitMEX has also been announced as Lead Partner of Great Britain's 2018 Tag World Cup campaign.
BitMEX, established in 2014 is a peer-to-peer trading platforms offering leveraged contracts that are bought and sold in Bitcoin.
BitMEX will be supporting all 20 players, their head coaches and assistant coaches in each of the four Tag Rugby World Cup squads travelling to Australia on their quest to compete at the very pinnacle of the sport both on and off the field. BitMEX will also support the British & Irish Cup to be played in Dublin on 8th & 9th September 2018.
Supporting growth in sport, particularly sport that is all-inclusive and played in both a mixed gender and single gender format resonates particularly well with the co-founders of BitMEX. Coupled with the opportunity to further establish a platform for players that have come from all codes of rugby to now focus on Tag Rugby as their primary code creates a fantastic opportunity for BitMEX to engage with their potential clients.
