General Info: York Acorn Juniors Come up to the club on a Saturday or Sunday morning you will see 60 or 70 boys putting on their Blue and Gold shirt of York Acorn and playing with as much pride and passion as the best teams around but with perhaps a different emphasis where children smiling is much more important than winning. The Acorn Juniors are run principally by the parents of the children and adheres fully with all the requirements and suggestions from the RFL and, in particular, the ethos of equity in sport, health and safety and child protection. Okay, playing for enjoyment is paramount but the winning is rather pleasant too. What does the club offer? York Acorn ARLC will, through the provision of facilities and coaching, and within an environment which is welcoming and supportive, encourage the development of the skills and knowledge of rugby football and the formation of positive sporting attitudes and fair play.
