Troubled York City Knights surrender early edge against league leaders Toulouse
Toulouse Olympique XIII came from behind to thrash troubled York City Knights 46-16 and maintain their lead at the top of Kingstone Press League 1 Super 8s.
York were almost forced to fold recently over an ongoing ground dispute but chairman John Guildford later promised they would see out the season with takeover talks ongoing.
Tries from Mike Emmett and Harry Carter inside the first six minutes threatened a major upset for the depleted Knights - who were without several players and could only name a 15-man squad.
However, the French side then ran in eight tries, with only James Morland responding late on, as Toulouse sealed a comfortable victory.
