Betfred League One is back for Round 18, but what action will unfold this Sunday?
Rochdale have a tough test on their hands when they welcome a high-flying Oldham outfit to Crown Oil Arena. The Hornets will be looking to register back-to-back home wins, while the Roughyeds will be out to continue their magnificent momentum – after beating rivals Keighley Cougars 44-6 in the previous round.
Can Oldham remain three points clear at the top of the League One table?
Meanwhile, Keighley Cougars return to action at Cougar Park, and interim head coach Jake Webster will be hoping for an immediate response from his side, following their unexpected thrashing by Sean Long’s men last Sunday.
It is Midlands Hurricanes who may feel the brunt of this, with Keighley determined to keep up with Oldham in the race for the League One title.
The Hurricanes are seeking their first away victory against the Cougars, but if their last meeting is anything to go by (18-25 to the Cougars), then it could be another close contest.
Hunslet are also at home to Workington – two sides with respective winning streaks. Their last five meetings have been extremely competitive, including a tight match in Round 11, where Hunslet pipped a 22-24 victory in Cumbria.
The West Yorkshire side could further cement third place with a win this weekend, whereas Town will need to climb the league ladder to ensure they have a chance to participate in the Play-Offs.
Finally, it's a battle of the bottom two as Newcastle host Cornwall. Their previous meeting saw the Choughs come away as 30-6 victors at The Memorial Ground in Round 11, but will this be the same now Thunder have home advantage?
Cornwall have managed to pick up two wins in 2024, while Newcastle are still searching for their first win of the year
