Super League's Tackle the Tough Stuff 2024

Super League’s mental and physical health campaign returns in 2024, working alongside our clubs and Rugby League Cares to Tackle the Tough Stuff.

In a world where you can be anything, choose to be kind. This year we take inspiration from Rob Burrow CBE, Lindsey Burrow, and Kevin Sinfield, encouraging fans to do their best in taking care of one another.

Over Round 17 of the Betfred Super League season several members of the Rugby League family will share their deeply personal stories with the hope of reaching out and guiding others who are going through similar experiences. You’ll hear from Paul Wood on the fantastic work in the community by Rugby League Cares, Jodie Cunningham on the growth in the Women’s game and giving back to her community, Rugby League Match Officials on abhorrent online abuse, and more.

The past few years have been incredibly difficult for everyone, leaving many feeling anxious, isolated, or bereaved. Many people from the Rugby League heartlands have been disproportionately affected by the cost-of-living crisis. Over 3 million people in the UK are now dependant on foodbanks each year, and 1 in 4 of us suffer from a form of mental health problems.

Over the next week we will shine a light on not only the problem, but the avenue to seek help. Because together, we can Tackle the Tough Stuff.
