Dave Elliott has been appointed to a new role at the RFL as Head of Education.
After joining the RFL in 2010 as Head Coach of the England Under-16s and Under-18s and going on to enjoy two memorable series victories over the Australian Schoolboys, the former Warrington player and coach had moved into the Match Officials department for the last three years, initially as Senior Coach and then leading the department on an interim basis until the recent appointment of Phil Bentham.
The new role will involve the creation of a new Rugby League Education department, bringing together a number of strands of education and coaching that already exist in the sport, and identifying areas where the provision can be enhanced, updated and more widely delivered.
