Salford Red Devils were unsuccessful in an appeal against the decisions of the Match Review Panel and Operations Rules Tribunal that Kallum Watkins was guilty of a Grade B high tackle in last weekend’s defeat at Wigan. Watkins therefore remains ineligible for Sunday’s game against Warrington Wolves as he serves a one-match suspension, and will also have to pay a £500 fine, while Salford forfeit a £500 bond as a result of their lost appeal.
