Betfred League One Preview | Round Six

Betfred League One returns this weekend, with another round of fixtures set to take place across the country’s third tier.

Three teams currently remain undefeated in the competition; they are league leaders Dewsbury Rams, second-placed Doncaster and third-placed Oldham.

That will change on Sunday, however, when the latter two face off at Doncaster’s Eco-Power Stadium, in what is undoubtedly the tie of the weekend.

Both teams picked up impressive victories last time out, with Doncaster triumphing 48-16 at Cornwall and Oldham racking up 56 points against local rivals Rochdale Hornets.

Whoever emerges victorious on Sunday will gain an enormous amount of confidence and momentum heading into the coming weeks, and beyond.

Elsewhere, Dewsbury host Cornwall at the FLAIR Stadium. Liam Finn’s Rams have been in sensational form so far this season, but narrowly secured a win against Hunslet last time out, a result which will give Cornwall plenty of confidence.

The Choughs have already secured their first ever home victory this season and look intent on enjoying a more respectable campaign.

Rochdale will be looking to bounce back from last week’s disappointing defeat at Oldham when they meet Workington Town at the Crown Oil Arena.

Hornets have won just once in the league so far this season, whilst Town have three wins to their name.

Finally, Hunslet can build on their positive performance at Dewsbury last weekend when Midlands Hurricanes visit the South Leeds Stadium.

Hunslet and the Hurricanes have exchanged several players over the last two seasons, so the game promises to be an interesting spectacle for everyone connected with both clubs.
