Masters Rugby League: Wrap-up

Masters Rugby League: Wrap-up

Last weekend (October 22) saw an array of Masters Ruby League activity from across the country once again, with spirits amongst players as high as ever as temperatures drop.

Aldershot & Fleet Masters welcomed Swindon St George, a game that also saw a number of Solent Masters players travel up from Southampton to get a game in wherever they could. Some phenomenal tries were scored with plenty of impressive ball skills on display, and the game was well refereed by Rod Evans and Tim Powley, both of whom commented after the game what a pleasure the game was to referee.

Further north, Crosfields made their final away trip of a busy 2022 as Normanton played host to a brilliant occasion between the two clubs, whilst newcomers Dewsbury Celtic made the short trip over to Castleford Masters and already seem to be making their mark on Masters Rugby League. A busy weekend of Masters action in Yorkshire was wrapped up as Underbank Masters travelled over to Hull Masters.

Across the Pennines, Springview Masters hosted Leyland Masters in an exciting game, whilst a Men’s and Women’s double-header rounded off the weekend as Blackpool welcomed Cadishead Masters, and Blackpool Belles came up against Folly Lane.

Leyland Masters are in action again this weekend (October 29), as they enjoy a weekend away with a trip down to Cardiff Blue Dragons, who have hosted been hosting a range of Northern clubs in recent months and look forward to a game with yet another!
