University of Brighton seeks Rugby League coach

The University of Brighton is looking to recruit a Men’s Rugby League coach, starting in October 2022.

Rugby League is one of the university’s fastest growing sports teams and the ideal candidate will be qualified to Level 2 or above (Level 1 applicants may be considered if they have notable experience). Rates of pay vary between £21-£34 per hour depending on qualifications.

The squad trains in term time (20 weeks) on Mondays (7pm-8.30), with 10 Wednesday afternoons set aside for matches.

The university’s coaches are paid for weekly training sessions and fixtures, and are entitled to use the university’s fitness facilities during the period they are coaching. Support is also provided for further professional development and training courses, including free first aid training.

The role will commence in October 2022 and finish in April 2023 for teams in weekly BUCS competition (or June for those competing in one-off events). Dates and times of training are correct at time of posting but are subject to change.

Interested persons should send a CV and covering letter to l.callingham@brighton.ac.uk. Further information is available from Lucy Callingham on 01273 643525.

The deadline for applications is Friday 2nd September.
