
St Helens sit at the top of the Betfred Super League table after a 24-10 win against Hull FC.
England winger Tom Makinson put the Saints in front, but the scores were level 30 minutes later when Darnell McIntosh touched down from Jake Connor’s kick.
Jack Welsby scored a try just before the break and Saints extended their lead with tries from Jonny Lomax and Makinson before McIntosh added a consolation at the death.
Catalans Dragons remain second after a strong second-half display saw them beat Warrington Wolves 40-8.
Sam Tomkins returned from injury to put Dragons in the lead with a penalty, but the Wire responded with Connor Wrench try before Tom Davies levelled the scores to go into the break 6-6.
Tomkins and Warrington’s Peter Mata’utia both scored goals, but tries from Mitchell Pearce and Julian Bousquet put Catalans in front.
Gil Dudson, Fouad Yaha and Arthur Mourgue all crossed in the final five minutes to earn two points for Dragons.
Louis Senior scored a hat-trick of tries for Huddersfield Giants as they beat Wigan Warriors 32-22 in a dress rehearsal for their Challenge Cup final clash later this month.
Senior and Ricky Leutele crossed for the Giants in the first-half before Sam Halsall added a try for Wigan to make it 12-6 at half-time.
A grubber kick from Tui Lolohea helped Senior earn his second try and Jack Wardle added another before Wigan tried to get back into the game.
Halsall scored a second for the Warriors and teenage debutant Matty Nicholson also notched a brace either side of Sam Hewitt scoring for Huddersfield, but Senior put the game to bed scoring his third with seconds to spare.
Castleford Tigers scored six tries to thrash Hull KR 32-0, with Jake Mamo and Jason Qareqare both scoring braces alongside a try each from George Griffin and Kenny Edwards.
Bottom-of-the-table Toulouse kept their survival hopes alive, beating Wakefield Trinity 20-14.
Wakefield winger Lewis Murphy scored the opening try before Olly Ashall-Bott crossed for Toulouse and Liam Kay took the score to 10-6 for Trinity at the break.
Matty Russell responded straight away with a converted try, putting the hosts in the lead - alongside two Chris Hankinson goals - before Corey Hall pulled one back for Wakefield.
Ashall-Bott scored his second of the game with seven minutes remaining to secure Toulouse’s second Super League win this season.
Salford Red Devils bounced back from a six-game losing streak to claim a 23-8 victory over Leeds Rhinos.
Ash Handley and Mikolaj Oledzki crossed over for Leeds, as new coach Rohan Smith suffered defeat in his first game in charge.
Ken Sio, Joe Burgess and Andy Ackers all scored in the first half for the Red Devils before Ryan Brierley sealed the win with 11 minutes to go.
