London Broncos hammer Batley

London Broncos hammer Batley

Saturday's Betfred Championship Round-Up

London Broncos extended their unbeaten run to four games in the Betfred Championship with a 6-40 demolition of an in-form Batley Bulldogs side.

There were six different try-scorers for the Broncos with Chris Hankinson scoring twice alongside efforts from Josh Walters, Abbas Miski, Rhys Curran, Jacob Jones and Gideon Boafo.

Elliott Hall scored Batley’s only try of the game just before half-time.

An early penalty goal put the Bulldogs ahead, but Walters would soon power to give London the advantage before Hankinson’s first half double really putting the Broncos in the ascendancy. Hall’s breakaway effort before the break gave Craig Lingard’s side hope.

London came out firing in the second half and scored 22 unanswered points on their way to victory. Miski, Curran, Jones and Boafo all added their names to the scoresheets as London moved up to 5th in the Betfred Championship.
