Newcastle Thunder have bolstered their 2021 playing squad with the addition of young forward Evan Hodgson from Bradford Bulls.
Hodgson – who progressed through the ranks of the Bulls’ Academy – made 13 appearances for Bradford in 2019 and has also featured in Betfred League 1 previously with Doncaster.
Hodgson said: “I was really excited when I found out Newcastle were interested in me for next season and it’s an opportunity I’m really looking forward to.
“The club has some big ambitions and it’s a good place for me to come and to be part of that. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in.”
Director of Rugby, Denis Betts, added: “Evan had been an outstanding player at Bradford and now has an opportunity to prove how good he is.
“He is a tough kid, with good footwork and a quick play-the-ball and I’m looking forward to seeing him fight for a place.”
