If you have been missing playing Rugby League and you’re looking for something new to try, now is a perfect time to #GiveTagATry!
Try Tag Rugby leagues returned to action earlier this year and are a fun way to exercise outdoors and meet new people. There’s currently 64000 people in 534 teams playing weekly under RFL-approved Covid-19 secure guidance across seven regions in England.
Games are 40 minutes long and you play one game per league each week and with no training it is ideal for those trying to fit exercise into a busy schedule.
Adult (14+) leagues currently run in London, Bristol, Coventry & Warwickshire, Manchester, Thames Valley, Wigan and Yorkshire.
Most league fixtures take place on weekday evenings and are seven-a-side mixed (four males and three females) leagues. Men’s and Women’s only leagues also take place in London and Leeds and these leagues have seen a big increase in Rugby League clubs entering teams.
The Men’s and Women’s leagues in Leeds have seen 19 teams playing on a Saturday at Farnley Falcons including some Rugby League (and Union) teams including Brighouse Rangers, Farnley Falcons, Leeds Trinity Titans, Halifax RLFC Women and Leeds University Women’s Rugby League.
Men and women of all abilities, including those haven’t played Rugby League before, are welcome to get involved.
Registration is available as whole teams or as individuals looking to be placed on a team.
