Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel holder Jackson Hastings took to social media to share a message of positivity and solidarity during these difficult times.
The current Wigan Warriors half-back was named Man of Steel last season for his exploits with former club Salford Red Devils and he has urged everyone to stay strong and work on themselves during the lockdown period.
“I just wanted to tell everyone to keep their heads up.
“I get a lot of messages about people being upset and how the lockdown is affecting people.
“I’m in the exact same boat. I’m working on myself every single day. I’m working on relationships of mine. I’m working on being a better person too.
“So, I just want everyone to know that you’re not in it alone and if you need some help reach out and ask people that you care about for help and opinions and advice and don’t keep it all locked up.
“Obviously it is a tough time for everyone and hopefully we can resume normal life as we know it as soon as possible but I just wanted to make sure people know that we all struggle and that we can all get through it together.
“So, make sure you reach out, get out in the sun today, put a smile on your face and enjoy it and surround yourself with people that love you.
“I’m here if anybody needs me. I’m just a message away.
“All the best and let’s do it together.”
